How to create a Legacy TikTok Pixel? (new)
BEFORE YOU BEGIN: Please make sure that the native TikTok Sales Channel is not active in your store, as it may collide with TiXel's functionality.
Enter your TikTok Ads Dashboard homepage, which looks like:
Hover your mouse on the Tools tab in the top navigation bar, then click on Events.
Click on the Connect data source button that appears in the top right side of the page:
In the Pop Up window that appeared, choose Web and then click Next:
Choose the Manual setup option and then click Next:
Give a unique name to your pixel and then Next:
In the page that has opened, scroll all the way down and click on the Skip step button (TiXel automatically triggers the event for you, so you don't have to manually configure them):
Then, click Confirm in the pop up that will appear.
In the next screen, untick the Events API option and make sure that only the Custom Code option is ticked. Then click Next.
Under the Advanced Settings section, make sure that the Automatic Advanced Matching option is toggled OFF.
Then, click on the View Instructions button:
In the page that opened, click on the Copy Pixel Code button.
Go back to TiXel's dashboard in your Shopify store and paste the Pixel Code you've just copied in the Pixel Code field.
Give a unique name to your new pixel and then click on the green Add Pixel button at the top of the page.

Then, follow the steps you see in the second pop-up: click on the 'Add Custom Pixel' button and give the pixel a name, such as the Pixel ID. After that, click on the 'Next Step' button.
The third pop-up will appear. Kindly follow the steps on the pop-up: you need to paste the code you copied from the first pop-up into the window that opened when you clicked 'Click Here' on the second pop-up. After pasting the code, click the 'Save' button, then click the 'Connect' button. Now the pixel is connected. Go back to the third pop-up and click on 'I've Added the Custom Pixel.'
