Music Doesn't Autoplay?

Music Doesn’t Autoplay?

We understand that autoplaying music can be a key feature for your website experience. Here’s a bit more detail on why you might be experiencing issues with autoplay:

Recent Browser Changes

Recently, browsers like Google Chrome and Safari have updated their autoplay policies. These changes are designed to prevent unwanted audio playback, especially for sites that may use autoplay to serve ads. According to the new policies, audio will only autoplay if the user has interacted with the site first. After this initial interaction, the browser will remember and allow autoplay for subsequent visits.

For more details on these changes, you can refer to Google's Developer Reference.

What We’re Doing

We have submitted a request to Google Chrome explaining that our app is designed to enhance user experience by allowing site owners to play music without it being used for advertising. We’ve clarified that our app is intended to entertain and engage audiences, not to promote ads. We’re hopeful that this will resolve the issue soon.

In the meantime, you might need to ask users to interact with the site before the music starts playing. We appreciate your patience as we work to address this with the browser developers.
