How to Set Up Favi: Favicon Tab Animation

Favi: Favicon Tab Animation helps you re-engage inactive visitors and recover abandoned carts using eye-catching browser tab animations. When users navigate away from your store tab, Favi replaces the default favicon and tab title with a custom animated message that encourages them to return and complete their purchase.

• Open and enable the Favi app

First, you need to activate the Favi app in your dashboard. This is a crucial step to get started.

• Customize the Animation Message

In the settings panel, locate the “Animation Text” field.

Enter the message you’d like to display when users leave your store tab.

Example: “Hey! Don’t forget your cart 🛒

• Choose When the Animation Appears

Select one of the following triggers:

When the tab becomes inactive (default option)

When there are items in the cart

Always active

• Select an Animation Type

Choose between two engaging effects:

Typewriter Effect – your text appears letter by letter.

Blinking Text Effect – your message flashes for attention.

• Save and Preview Changes

Click Save Settings to apply your changes.

Open your storefront in a new browser tab and switch away to test the animation in action.
