How to Add the Stock Counter App Block?

Introduction

The Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter app helps you create urgency on your product pages by showing customers how many items are left in stock. This can boost conversions by encouraging faster purchase decisions.

To make the app work properly, you must add the Stock Counter App Block through your Shopify theme settings. Once added, you can place the counter anywhere on your product page.


Before you begin

Make sure:

  • The Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter app is installed in your Shopify store.
  • Your theme supports App Blocks (most Shopify 2.0 themes do).
  • You have access to customize your theme settings.


Step 1: Open the app and locate the App Block option

  • Go to your Shopify Admin
  • Open the Scarcity++ Low Stock Counter app
  • Look for a popup or prompt related to adding the Stock Counter App Block
  • Click on the “Add Stock Counter App Block” button

This will guide you to the next step.




Step 2: Watch the quick setup guide (optional)

  • After clicking the button, a popup may appear
  • You’ll see a short instructional video explaining how to add the app block
  • Click “Add Now” to continue

This action will redirect you to your theme editor.




Step 3: Add the App Block in Theme Settings

  • You will be taken to the Theme Customization Editor
  • Navigate to a Product Page template
  • Look for the “Low Stock Counter” app block in the available blocks




Step 4: Place the Stock Counter on your product page

  • Select the Low Stock Counter App Block
  • Drag and drop it to your desired position on the product page
  • Adjust positioning based on your design preference

Example: below the product title, near the price, or above the add-to-cart button




Step 5: Save your changes

  • Click Save in the theme editor
  • Visit your product page to confirm the stock counter is visible and working




Best practices (for better results)

  • Place the counter near the Add to Cart button for maximum impact
  • Avoid placing it too far down the page where users may not see it
  • Test on both desktop and mobile views
  • Ensure your inventory tracking is enabled in Shopify
