Meta Pixel: User data deletion instructions

Introduction

If a customer or a Facebook (Meta) user asks you to delete their personal information, you may wonder what data the TiXel app holds about them.
The short answer is none. TiXel does not keep personal information about your store's visitors or customers on our servers.

Where Is the Information Kept and How Is It Deleted?

The analytics and event information generated by your pixels is kept inside your own Shopify store, as part of Shopify's Metaobjects infrastructure. It is not copied to or retained on TiXel's servers.

Uninstalling the TiXel app from your store deletes this information permanently. Please note:

1. The deletion happens automatically as part of the uninstall process.
2. Once deleted, the information cannot be restored — there is no backup and no way to recover it.
3. Events that were already sent to Meta are stored by Meta, not by TiXel, and must be deleted through Meta directly.

Conclusion

TiXel does not store personal information on its servers. The analytics information stays in your Shopify store, and uninstalling the app deletes it permanently and irreversibly.
