How to create a Reddit Pixel?

Introduction

The TiXel app allows you to easily track user events and optimize your ad campaigns by integrating the Reddit Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI) into your store. This guide will walk you through how to create and find your Reddit Pixel ID, generate a Conversion Access Token, and configure them within the TiXel app.

Follow these steps to set up your Reddit tracking:

If you already have an active Reddit Pixel, you can skip to Part 2.

Part 1: Create a Reddit Pixel

  1. Open Reddit Ads Manager: Navigate to the Reddit Ads Manager and log in to your business account.
  2. Go to Events Manager: Click the menu in the top-left corner and select Events Manager.


  1. Configure Events Tracking: If you have never set up a pixel before, you will be prompted to "Configure events tracking". Select Pixel and Conversions API (under the "Set up manually" section) to officially generate your account's Pixel.



Part 2: Find Your Reddit Pixel ID and Generate an Access Token

  1. Open Reddit Ads Manager: Navigate to the Reddit Ads Manager and log in to your business account.
  2. Navigate to Events Manager: Click the menu in the top-left corner (usually labeled "Dashboard") and select Events Manager.


  1. Copy the Pixel ID: Inside the Events Manager, you will see your Pixel ID (sometimes referred to as your Advertiser ID). This ID typically starts with t2_ or a2_ followed by a string of numbers and letters (e.g., a2_XXXXXXXX). Copy this ID to your clipboard.


  1. Generate the CAPI Access Token: Look at the navigation sidebar inside the Events Manager and click on Conversions API. Click the Generate Access Token button, give your token a descriptive name, and select generate. Copy the token that appears.

Part 2: Add the Reddit Pixel to TiXel

  1. Open TiXel Settings: Go to your TiXel app dashboard and click on All Pixels from the navigation menu.


  1. Add a New Pixel: Click on the Add Pixel button to start setting up a new integration.


  1. Select the Platform: Choose Reddit from the grid of available advertising platforms.


  1. Configure Pixel Settings:
    • Paste the Reddit Pixel ID (t2_XXXXXXX or a2_XXXXXXX) you copied earlier into the first field.
    • Paste your Access Token (your CAPI token) into the second field.
    • Give your pixel a recognizable Pixel Name.
    • Choose whether to apply the pixel to all products or only specific ones, then click save.
