How to create a Meta Pixel?

Introduction

The TiXel app allows you to easily track user events and optimize your ad campaigns by integrating the Meta Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI) into your store. This guide will walk you through how to generate your Pixel ID and CAPI access token from Meta and configure them within the TiXel app.


Follow these steps to set up your Meta Pixel and CAPI:

Important: open Meta Business Manager: Navigate to the Meta Business Manager and log in to your account.

Part 1: Find Your Meta Pixel ID and Generate an Access Token

  1. Navigate to Events Manager: Open your Meta Ads Manager and click on the Events Manager shortcut from the menu.

  1. Open Dataset Settings: From the left sidebar, click on Datasets (Step 2). Select your business's dataset, and then navigate to the Settings tab (Step 3).


  1. Copy the Pixel ID: Under the "Details" section in your Settings tab, locate your Dataset ID. This string of numbers is your Pixel ID. Copy it to your clipboard.

  1. Generate the CAPI Access Token: Scroll further down the Settings page to the Conversions API section. Look for the "Set up direct integration" option and click on Generate access token (Step 4). Copy the token that appears.


Part 2: Add the Meta Pixel to TiXel

  1. Open TiXel Settings: Go to your TiXel app dashboard and click on All Pixels from the navigation menu.

  1. Add a New Pixel: Click on the Add Pixel button to start setting up a new integration.


  1. Select the Platform: Choose Meta from the grid of available advertising platforms.


  1. Configure Pixel Settings:
  • Paste the Pixel ID you copied earlier into the first field.
  • Paste the Pixel Access Token (your CAPI token) into the second field.
  • Give your pixel a recognizable Pixel Name.
  • Choose whether to apply the pixel to all products or only specific ones, then save your settings.
