How to create a blank "Blocked" page on your WiX site using EditorX

Introduction

If you’re using Blocky to manage access on your Wix site, creating a dedicated “Blocked” page ensures that restricted visitors are redirected to a clear, customized message. This guide will show you how to create a blank “Blocked” page without a header or footer, allowing full customization to match your site’s style.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Wix Editor X

  • Open Wix Editor X and select the site where you want to create the blocked page.

2. Open the Pages Selector

  • Click and expand the Pages selector to view all your current pages.

3. Manage Pages

  • Scroll down and click the blue "Manage Pages" button.

4. Add a New Page

  • In the left-hand menu, click the blue "+ Add New Page" button.

  • Choose the "Page" option and click "Add".

5. Remove Existing Elements

  • Delete any headers or footers on the new page.
  • These elements will remain on other pages but will not appear on the new "Blocked" page.

6. Design Your Page

  • Customize the page by adding text, images, or design elements to convey your blocked message.

7. Set the URL Slug

  • Select the new page, click the three dots next to it, and choose "SEO Basics."

  • Change the URL slug to blocked-page for easy reference.

8. Publish Your Page

  • Click the blue "Publish" button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Conclusion

Your “Blocked” page is now ready and can be used with Blocky to redirect restricted visitors.
