# My Customers Are Still Able to Checkout Without Checking the Checkbox

## Introduction  
If customers can complete their purchase without checking the **Terms and Conditions** checkbox, you can control this behavior through the app settings. This guide will show you how to **enforce or make the checkbox optional** based on your store’s needs.

## Enforcing Checkbox Requirement
If you want to **require customers to check the checkbox** before proceeding to checkout:

1. [Click here](https://admin.shopify.com/?redirect=%2Fapps/d569f75fcf1eeec927644330e4fb70c1) and open the **TnC: Terms and Conditions Box** app dashboard in your Shopify admin.  
2. Open the **Checkbox Settings** and then click on the **Appearance Settings** tab.
3. Locate the **Checkbox Default Appearance** section.
4. **Uncheck** the option **Make the checkbox optional by default** to make the checkbox mandatory.
